PLANETARIUM! RECLAMATION SERVICE 001: INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY
Monday October 12 2009 8 pm – 12 am
Environmentaland, Corner of N Highland Ave & Johnny Grant Way (aka Yucca)
Los Angeles, CA 90028

Come to Reclamation’s first service!  Don’t worry, no prayer/worship/tithing/kneeling required… though you will need to crawl to enter Planetarium and someone must turn the hand crank for us all to see the stars. Bring something to read, to sing, to play, to eat, or to drink!  Or just come ready to listen, to spectate, to sing-a-long, to participate, to graze, to gulp, to discuss, debate, and delight in our extraordinarily home-made starscape!

The Theology of Reclamation is undefined.  Reclamation Project involves using re-used/recycled/re-purposed materials to create sacred spaces that operate outside the narratives offered to us by any religion, even that of environmentalism.  In one year, we will be installing a church to nature entitled Terrarium in the medieval chapel of HotelMariaKapel in Hoorn, Netherlands.  So please join us now in our project’s first iteration, Planetarium, to enjoy a sight lost to most Angelenos and to explore with us that intersubjective space that occurs between/within/throughout religion and the environmental movement.  Help us begin!

Hope to see you Monday night!
